Pakistan vs Australia Series 2016 Schedule

Pakistan vs Australia Series 2016 Schedule has recently been announced by Cricket Australia.  Dates and venues of series also been announced. Series will comprise of 3 test matches followed by five one day internationals dating from 15 December 2016 to 26 January 2017.

Pakistan vs West Indies Series 2016 Schedule

The first test will be played at The Gabba, Brisbane from 15th to 19th of the December 2016. The first Test match will be the unique of its kind as it is day/night test match and best part would be the use of Pink ball in the test match. For the preparation of first test match, ten matches in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy 2016/17 and first round of Australia’s Sheffield Shield season 2016/2017 matches will be played as day/night matches.

FIRST TEST:

First test will be played from 15 December to 19 December (D/N).

Venue: The Gabba, Brisbane

SECOND TEST:

Second test will be played from 26 December to 30 December.

Venue: Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne.

THIRD TEST:

Third test will be played from 3 January to 7 January.

Venue: Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney.

ODI SERIES SCHEDULE:

First ODI: 13 January 2017(D/N).  Venue: The Gabba, Brisbane.

Second ODI: 15 January2017 (D/N). Venue: Melbourne Cricket Stadium, Melbourne.

Third ODI: 19 January2017 (D/N). Venue: WACA Ground, Perth.

Fourth ODI: 22 January2017 (D/N). Venue: Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney.

Fifth ODI: 26 January 2017 (D/N). Venue: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide.

Let’s have a brief look at all the head to head test matches, ODIS and T20’s played till now between both teams and their results.

Pakistan vs Australia Head to Head in Tests

Overall Pakistan and Australia played a total of 52 tests since 1956 till 2015 amongst which Pakistan won 11, Australia won 24 and there were 17 draws. Winning percentage of Pakistan in these test matches was 23.72%

Out of these 52 matches 29 matches were played in Australia out of which Australia got victory in 18 while Pakistan got only in 4 and there were 7 draws.

20 test matches from the total were played in Pakistan; Pakistan won 7, Australia won 3 and there were 10 draws and three matches from the total were played at neutral venues and all three won by Australia.

Pakistan has played a total of 93 ODI’s matches against Australia since 1975 till 2015 with winning percentage of 33.33%.

Out of these 93 matches Pakistan won 31 matches and Australia won 58 matches. One match was tied and there was no result for 3 matches.

11 matches from the total were played in Pakistan of which Pakistan won 4, lost 6 and no result for one match.

51 matches from the total were played in Australia. Pakistan won 16 while Australia remained victorious in 33. One match was tied and there was no result for one match.

31 ODI’s were played at neutral venues of which Australia won 19, Pakistan won 11 and one match was has no result.

Pakistan vs Australia Head to Head In T20

When it comes to T20 Internationals, Pakistan has an upper hand on Australia with winning percentage of 53.8% since 2007 till 2014.

Pakistan has played total of 13 matches amongst which Pakistan has won 7 while Australia remained victorious only in 5 matches. However one match was tied between both the teams.
